SUV Hybrids Choices
In recent few years, car manufacturers have been swiftly introducing SUV hybrids to the marketplace and now consumers have increasing large selection of new models to choose from.
In reality, not any more do consumers who enjoy SUV have to live with low mileage of sub 18 mpg level. Anyone that does not believe that should just take a look at Ford Escape hybrid. This car has stated MPG of over 30 while still being reasonably priced at around $30,000. On the other side, if they prefer maximum power and towing capability of powerful V8 engine, they may look at either Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid or GMC Yukon Hybrid who also deliver over 20% and more in gas savings.
Consumers who are looking for sedans that offer mini-van capability of carrying seven passenger should be delighted to look at Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Even Chevy Tahoe Hybrid offers optional 3rd row seats yet both cars get over 20 mpg.
And then there are luxury models such as Cadillac Escalade Hybrid or Lexus RX 450h.They may cost more than $40,000 but offer premium driving experience while still operating substantially more efficiently.
Also, interesting to look at is newly designed Mitsubishi PX-MiEV. This is a mid-sized SUV hybrid with a plug-in capability. It can function on either purely electric or hybrid power, or combination of it both. This new technology permits the car to obtain 120 mpg in certain circumstances.
With so many of these new models being introduced, even the pickiest of SUV lovers will find a hybrid that they will enjoy.
